Intel Reports Lower Than Expected Second Quarter

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Reuters) - Intel Corp. (Nasdaq:INTC - news), the world's largest maker of semiconductors, reported second
quarter earnings that were just below analysts expectations, but said it expected a strong-second half of the year.

Intel reported second quarter net income of $1.7 billion, or 51 cents a share, compared with net income of $1.2 billion, or 33 cents a share a
year ago. According to First Call, the consensus among analysts was for 53 cents a share. .................

If Qcom can get an "A"/-"A" rating this will reduce their borrowing costs by 100 to 200 basis points. Another direct benefit of the new offering. I think it is a very very astute move.
