Re CHINA: Interesting report just now on CNBC, pointing out that China.com may not be nearly as comprehensive an internet service as many people believe -- because its content is highly-vulnerable to Chinese government censorship. Apparently, that's even mentioned in the IPO prospectus as one of the various "risk factors" that could affect the company's success.

As an example, CNBC said that although China.com portrays itself as "THE" internet news-and-information source for China, the website didn't even mention a major Asian news-story today involving Taiwan (I didn't catch the details of that story).

Of course, it's probably fair to assume that ALL Internet companies operating in China face the threat of government interference -- but it sounds like China.com is especially vulnerable, because of its tie-in to the official government news-agency Xinhua.

Not sure what any of this means long-term, but I found it interesting...
