Nokomis, this article is somewhat dated (1993). There have been many rule changes since then on the Nasdaq. Much of this does not / can not happen today. Trading between the spread very common now and your order cannot be "ignored" today like it was in 1993. There are still games played, but as a whole we do get a fairer shake in 1999 Nasdaq trading...
