As of the last reporting dates in May, MFS owned 1,054 million and FMR owned 2,540 million. These numbers are down from figures which total almost 25% of the total outstanding shares at their high points. Now they are somewhere in the aggregate of 10% unless they have done even further selling since May, which is possible. I agree that the selling gave us all some good buying opportunities and I too was fortunate to buy some shares between 6 and 8 and up to 10 in fact. I think it might be a good idea for Aspect's counsel to write to each of these entities and offer to facilitate the sale of shares in the event that either of these entities feels the need in the future to dump millions of shares into the open market. That way they would have to consider the well being of their own shareholders before going on another selling binge. This type of transaction is often negotiated so the bleeding is confined to a minimum. For some reason I don't think everyone wanted to produce a bloodless transaction however. Why?
