YX, <The real EPS is only 46 cents per share.> Not!
In the Q2 Intel repurchased 25M own shares. At average
price of $60 they have spent $1.5B !
Therefeore, the real profit is $250M only,
or $0.07 per share. Not that impressive for
a industry leader.

Yougang - <Interest and other income: 290 Millions; after 33% tax, you get 195 millions divide that by 3446 millions of share outstanding, you get roughly 5 cent per share. The real EPS is only 46 cents per share.>

This type of analysis is meaningless. You would need to comparatively discount interest and other income from previous quarters. Intel has cash and an investment portfolio, and has for quite some time. These things are factored in the analyst's estimates. The income generated from these sources is no less "real' than any other bottom line item. It's one of the benefits of having cash.

<1. Contradictory Statements: Expect Q3 to be up SLIGHTLY from Q2, but Expect a strong 2H. This does not translate, unless, Q4 will explode.>

May be, but it is a typical statement for Q2 (coming off weakest Q)per Intel's proclivity for conservative forward looking statements. I bet they said the same thing last year at Q2.
