A big 60,000 lot cleared at 66.25 on an uptick 10 minutes ago. I think the big shop analysts will likely revise numbers higher for the second half tomorrow.

Joey,

Re:" Danny Boy wasn't completely right. He was (and probably still) pessimistic about 2H whereas Intel (so far) has painted a much more optimistic view of 2H. Also, Danny Boy was on TV yelling SELL with Intel in the lower 50s...not a good recommendation so far. "

Look he did a great job and was spot on and he should be credited- and certainly after his analysis was mud here a few days ago.

Most of all the other lemons were way off the mark.

As far as his Q3/Q4 analysis - who knows - lets wait and see what happens, but Intel must be seeing excellent demand to be so bullish on margins.

I suspect Intel is seiing excellent demand in the Xeon space which has allowed those great margins. It allowed them to kick AMD's butt in the low end and still maintain good overall margins. The revenue shortfall seems to be PIII related where they probably sold a few million more celerons and hence fewer PIII's.

Anyhow on balance the information so far looks very positive for tomorrow.

Good luck.

Kash.
