Now that I saw the Architecture segment breakdown and the 14% drop I am not as bullish as I was when I first saw the news release. The drop is too large and the profitability sunk (stunk by INTC monopolistic standards?) as well. INTC is still a MPU company and those other biz segments shoring up the core biz is kinda bogus... So I say now the release was just okay... Quiz: Show me which semis are showing double-digit sequential drops in revenue of this magnitude? AMD, maybe MU (if you ignore TXN contribution)?, who else??? Common denominator - high percentage of PC business. Nuff said. We shall see...
