No hassle at all.

Start another account at another firm (e.g Schwab). Once all the paper work is done and the account is up and running liquidate all positions in your old account. Withdraw the cash from this account and deposit the cash in you new account.

With Greenline you can have your cash sitting in your TD checking account the same day. When I switched to Schwab I was only out for a day and a half. With Lind-Waldock I was out for 2 days. However since I have several accounts I just traded another account while the other one was down.

Best Regards
KEITH

I know it's going to take time, so I intend to start the process just before my holidays in August, and expect (hope?) it will be done by the time I come back two weeks later. Does that seem reasonable?

Thanks, Keith, for the advice. I'll get onto Schwab to start figuring this out.

Deposit cash first just to get it set up, and transfer
equities after other wise it takes a while to get it all
set up.
