Online drug stores' mixed promise:

"Who will the online drugs store winners be? Keep a close watch on Healtheon (HLTH: news, msgs). With better and more relationships with the largest number of powerful HMOs, physician organizations and managed health care organizations, as well as a consumer Web site in its recent purchase, WebMD, a company like Healtheon is poised to come and swallow the so-called "pure play" online drug stores whole."

in hindsight, it would have been a GREAT short. the stock continues to be very weak... even more than the internet sector in general. but i'm not sure it still is a good short, even with more shares becoming free trading (i think) august 10th. the share price is back at where it was BEFORE the webmd acquisition.

quarterly results should be out soon. will they include webmd? i don't think that deal closes till september.
