Blodgett seems to believe that AMZN will take the auction business over time.

Glenn regarding this from Blodgett, did he say whether he thinks auctions will remain as
big as they are now? I agree btw Amazon will take the biz, but I also don't like auctions
in general. I'm afraid to do anything with ebay stock though.

Michelle,

This was a small internal note to clients that were interested. It was not a full report. It was a comment regarding the frequent downtime that Ebay has experienced. There was no comment on how large a business auctions may be but in the recent total Amazon report, auctions took a back seat to the other Amazon lines of business. This was also true with the YHOO report. My guess and I have no facts to back this up, is Blodget does not see auctions as a huge business. On the other hand, he loves Priceline.com. In my mind PCLN is a different form of auctions. Finally, the internal memo shows under a search for reports on AMZN and YHOO. Blodget does not cover Ebay.

I doubt I told you anything that helps:-(
