I'm planning a trip myself. I tend to go after the summer session around September when school reopens. From Miami the fares run about $280 to $390 round trip. Add another $50 for parking in Miami. I have used Yahoo twice and been able to get a fair rate. My trip to S.F. ran around $575 round trip. So, $700 to Puerto Rico from CA may not be too far off. That is one heck of a long flight from CA with a stop-over no doubt.

The traffic signs in P.R. are crazy. Hardly, any stop signs in the entire country. It's a trip driving in San Juan where the streets were originally made wide enough for a horse and buggy and not one parked car and traffic on the remaining width of the street. Cars are very small because of the tight driving conditions there.

Do visit the Fort in downtown San Juan, Barcadi Rum factory tour
