Seriously, Al was one of the original sponsors of the ARPANET in Congress and was instrumental in getting the money appropriated to turn it into a reality. Truth be told, he was light years ahead of Bill Gates and Microsoft in recognizing the potential for the Internet. I'd say he certainly deserves some bragging rights. Detractors are just taking cheap shots.

You said "seriously", but surely you didn't mean it. Oh, nevermind. I think I've spotted a yellow dog over there.....

True but interesting. The quickest way to freedom I know of is through personal finances, hence the draw of the stock market. Now the way I see it Microsoft has probably (however indirectly) given many more individual's freedom than Linux to date -ironically due to it's dominance. The power of the free world never ceases to amaze!
