Just curious about the CC and Intel's take on the second half of the year. I work at a Dow component company and they are putting the screws on the PC ordering until y2k is over, because we just spent the last 2 years certifying our environment as y2k compliant.

There are two scenario's:

1.) companies buy new PC's to become y2k compliant

or

2.) companies spent the last X number of years and X millions of dollars to become y2k compliant and the hold pat.

Did they talk about it in CC?

Tony & all intc longs:

$.51, 60% GMs for the YEAR. All the shorts can babble all they want.
Intel has done and will do just what they're previous/present guidance indicated. Andy B. emphasized the 60% FOR THE YEAR. Where are all the idiots complaining about cannibalization and PIII, Merced et al problems?
The P/E for this company will continue to increase imo; Those who predicted a typical run-up and drop after better than expected earnings missed the real story, the 2nd half of this year. FWIW, those who panicked @ 4:17 p.m. and those who feel they'll cash in tomorrow are pathetic. Xmas season will be sweet.

OTOT-C.Schilling starts the All-Star game after all, vs Martinez. looking forward to it.
