Sid......Gle has recently lowered the temperature of their SOFC.
They say the reduction is enough to allow them to stop using exotic metals........raisin

Sid,

I still want to know why YOU think DTE, SEMPRAS, and GE have placed their bets on (according to you) a less efficient fuel cell system....to me this goes to the heart of your contention that the other fuel cell method (SO?) is so superior.

You of course do not have to answer, but until you do, I think you have only provided half an argument -----i.e., that the other technolgy is better and the market place will eventually realize this----which completely ignores what the market place is currently doing.

I appreciate the clear explanation of the technical differences in the two approaches to the fc that you have provided, but that explanation alone doesn't address the bets the market has made. If you don't know why DTE et al. chose that path just say so----businesses make mistakes all the time--- they commit capital and get commited to an approach before they have thoroughly analyzed the situation etc--I just want to know your thoughts on the subject.

Thanks,

Bill
ps. Based on your insight I did buy some ERC.
