Fred,

Apparently, the solution to all the wireless problem in the U.S. is
to adapt the European system GSM! After all its better than anything else the U.S. can possibly use.

That may be a little extreme, but I think people on this thread fail to realise sometimes that well implemented GSM really does work very well. I use it daily and have done so for many years. There is good coverage nearly everywhere I go.
