you read this, right ??

globes.co.il

"...Nevertheless, the giant companies remaining in
the field have begun to fear the dwarf from
Migdal Ha'emek, Tower Semiconductor. Why?
Tower was smart enough to invest in Saifun at a
very early stage. In exchange, it received 15% of
the company's shares and production rights,
and put its facilities at Saifun's disposal, so that
it will be able to build a prototype. At the
moment, a preliminary prototype is undergoing
final tests..."

Creditman,

Here is Clal's website: clal.co.il

Clal (Israel) Ltd.

Clal (Israel) Ltd. was established in 1962 at the initiative of the late Minister of Finance, Pinhas Sapir, with an investment from South American Jewry and Israeli banks. Today, Clal is one of Israel's leading investment companies.

The controlling shareholder is the IDB Group. Clal's securities, as well as those of over 20 of its subsidiaries, are traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange. Ten subsidiaries' shares are traded on U.S.A. securities exchanges.

Clal's activities are divided into two groups. The first, which is the company's core business, focuses on finance, real estate and the capital markets. The second, operating within the framework of the subsidiary Clal Industries and Investments, manages a diversified portfolio of investments, including high-tech, bio-technology, communications with some of the businesses managed through venture capital funds and large basic industries.

I have seen the rumor on Yahoo but haven't seen any supporting information.

Dave
