What DD did I do before buying NOPT? None whatsoever. And, proud of it. Should I be trying to out-DD Gilder? Ha! I painfully remember second guessing Buffett on Coke back in the '80's - about 1000% later I realized that that was a vain amateur's mistake. Most times the smartest thing to do is to admit that others are better equipped to do certain tasks, sidestep your ego, hire the right person and follow their advice. I'll do my own DD on REITs - that's my field. But on tech, hey, Gilder is more in-tune, connected and talented than I even care to be. Ain't no shame in that at all.
