Have you all banded together to form a tight-knit community of monolithic thinkers who are unable to take the challenge to discriminate spam from advice?

You will soon learn that the little SI Clique, protecting investors from "Hypsters" and shills, are as clueless as the management and monitors of SI !!!

GREAT POST!!!!

It is nice that you would moderate a thread on VaxGen and share your information and insight. That's what SI is about, and what makes it a good place for investors.

You say that you are new to SI. Perhaps you should consider lurking for a while and figuring out how it works first rather than getting in a huff because your toes were stepped on.

Consider: if everybody who believed in a company suddenly started posting messages about on every other thread -- well, you can only imagine what that would lead to.

So the principle is that you post about a company on its thread or threads (some stocks have more than one). There are also some general threads where a mention might be appropriate, something like "the analysis on VaxGen looks good; come to the thread and check it out" posted on a limited, carefully selected, appropriate few threads such as a general biotech thread or Mr. Pink's thread or the like. There are probably three or four threads where such a message would be appropriate and welcome.

Everything in its place. While the person with a new red Corvette may, understandably, want to show it to his friends, driving it on the sidewalk of downtown New York is NOT the right way to do it. So it was with your post. No matter how good the post was, this was the wrong place for it, and posting it here turned it into spam, which is not welcome in SI.

hey gps,

re: "But you all seem to be participating in this scheme, not wanting anything to interupt the seclusion of your thread"

ironic that you would post this to me.

i was the only one to come to your defense.

and don't be bummed... things here aren't quite the way you make them out to be. not always.
