The fact is, this womens world cup victory was truly an awe inspiring achievement for sports in general

So if the Chinese women had won it would it have been a major disaster for sports in general? It was a foregone conclusion that one of the teams was going to win, right?

So? You "say again" what you said before with no more intelligence, logic or support than the first time. Just confirming that you are a dolt I suppose. Thanks, but we already knew that.

BTW, my comment to Bill into which you inserted your overly sensitive, big, fat, ignorant nose, related to the commercial viability of women's soccer. Had nothing to do with "sex roles." You opened that can of worms with your "off topic personal attack" on my wife and daughter. In fact those are the kind of "off topic personal attacks" people get suspended for. You remember, like the one you claimed I made when you hypocritically claimed credit for suspending me? You remember that, don't ya hypocrite? But don't worry, I won't report you. You ain't worth the effort and its sort of amusing to have a mushy headed liberal on the thread to deconstruct around as needs warrant.

I find all soccer boring and women's soccer especially so. IMO, if it don't go commerically, it don't go. I make no apologies if you find those opinions disturbing. JLA

although it is probably the top achievement in any womens sporting event in 20 years or so

Tell that to Lindsey Davenport and Dominique Moceanu.
