thats what I thought. $5 MM in 99 sales no profits for years and market cap of what 500MM? yea that makes sense!!!

Thanks, Tom. At least your post gives a little glimpse as to what all the fuss is about. The clip that tells it follows:

".. while replicating its AllWave model around the country in 2000 and beyond."

This says two things:

(i) NOPT, which is currently a regional player will become a national player, and

(ii) they will be using ALLWAVE fiber from LU which is arguably the most permissive fiber currently available, in terms of accepting the greatest number of wavelengths.

If these statements are true, then it launches this company into the big leagues with other fiber barons such as QWST, LVLT, Enron (kinda), FRO (who uses QWST fiber), WCB, etc. Up until now, they were merely a regional contender, stuck in the northeast corner of the country. FWIW.
