So today I was quite ready: When this happens, my reflex action by now is to buy NN first and ask questions later,

Tunica --

So good to see you again. I did the same thing: added and asked questions later. In fact, I framed a response to someone who said I'd been courageous and then got way-laid and the next thing I knew Silverstein had come out with a retraction/explanation and I figured it was pointless. For the record, I wrote:

* This is not the end of the quarter.

* The company responded to stock action by saying, and I quote, "Newbridge Networks Corporation today stated that it is unaware of any corporate developments or external factors that would explain the recent unusual market activity in the Company?s common shares." They wouldn't do this if Silverstein's comments originated from them.

* NN has a backlog, guided conservatively on the last conference call, and historically has heavy sales in last couple weeks.

* Broadband show officially begins tomorrow and should bring positive press at least within the sector.

And speaking of the show, I'll be attending for the next three days as there are a couple all-day sessions that look interesting.

Tomorrow's keynote is George Gilder and the following two days have panels that should be good.

Hold the fort, okay? :)

That is not an increase of 100%.
