No. The 460GX, the first chipset to support Merced, will be using SDRAM as opposed to DRDRAM. Because of the huge amount of memory that 460GX can support, and because there's already a lot of interleaving going on (thereby increasing bandwidth), DRDRAM isn't required yet.

There are other companies out there making Merced-compatible chipsets. I don't know if any of them are thinking about Rambus.

As for McKinley and beyond, well, nothing's been revealed yet, so I'll leave it at that.
