Everything I read indicates that laptops continue to have a very bright future as they are displacing deaktops. Market is growing.
As you mentioned market share is immportant (as are profits).
Price pressure is either very tough or NMGC is projecting a decline in units for their 2 Qtr.
Probably a bit of each.
If this is borne out when they report next month (.08 X 4 = .32 or a p/e of 31 base on a $10 share) NMGC will head back south.
Anyway, this spike wasn't a natural bounce. It was from TM front running his recomendation. Many will be gone once it's determined NMGC won't run and they'll depart.
NMGC could run again approaching earnings which if they mirror the above with no promise of improvement in the 3rd then NMGC will be back down, maybe making a new low.
One salvation could be takeover or finalization of some new products outsid the laptop area.
