DTM to be integrated into Ericsson's next
generation Multi-Service Access Platform

Dynarc and Ericsson Datacom Join in
Strategic OEM Agreement

DTM to be integrated into Ericsson's next
generation Multi-Service Access Platform

SUNNYVALE, CA - May 26, 1999 - Dynarc today
announced a strategic OEM agreement with Ericsson,
Inc. Under the agreement, Ericsson's Datacom Access
Product Unit will integrate Dynarc's distributed IP QoS
networking technology into Ericsson's next generation
Multi-Service Access Platforms. Together, these
complementary products will enable the next
generation of optical multi-service IP networks to scale
to greater port densities and QoS capabilities per POP
and per cabinet.

"Dynarc's DTM technology complements Ericsson's
goals for the future. The convergence of telecom and
datacom services will require new network solutions,
and we identify Dynarc's IP QoS technology as one of
the most interesting approaches. The ability to connect
our next generation Servers with it will provide a very
cost effective and IP friendly solution for service
providers. We are very confident in Dynarc's ability to
become a strategic partner, and we don't exclude other
potential ventures together with Dynarc," says John
O'Brien, Assistant Vice President Business
Development, Ericsson.

By adding Dynarc's DTM technology to its Access
product line, Ericsson will be able to provide the
benefits of advanced IP QoS to its customers, including
guaranteed capacity, efficient bandwidth utilization,
high availability, and multicast. As an interconnect
between the next generation Access Gateways, this
technology will provide a very cost-effective solution for
Internet POPs and CO environments. The service
providers will benefit from reduced total cost of
ownership, and the solution allows for quick
deployment of value-added network services.

The two companies will work together to push DTM as
a worldwide standard for high performance
multi-service IP networks. Dynarc and Ericsson focus
on optical Access and Metropolitan networks, and US
standardization bodies have already been
approached. Dynarc and Ericsson invite other
participants, service providers and equipment vendors,
to join this standardization effort.

" This is an important step of developing DTM into a
worldwide, open standard for multi-service IP networks.
Ericsson is a perfect partner for Dynarc in that Ericsson
has a strong commitment for carrier-class IP
networking. Together we have an opportunity to offer
the service providers a network solution that enables
the true convergence of telecom and datacom
services, while reducing the cost of ownership," says
Olov Schagerlund, President & CEO, Dynarc.

About DTM The DTM protocol is designed specifically
for IP. Dynarc has integrated the best of the
connectionless IP paradigm with the dynamic
circuit-oriented DTM architecture to provide high
capacity and scaling at unprecedented speeds while
maintaining the inherent support for bandwidth
management, guaranteed QoS, and IP multicast
functionality. DTM is based on a simple
circuit-switched scheme using time and space division
multiplexing, while running over a shared link, such as a
ring or bus. Through its unique ability to reuse
bandwidth on free link segments, maximum network
throughput is realized. The result is a malleable network
with superior service.

About ERICSSON Ericsson's datacom access
offerings include the full line of remote access and

industry in the development of Virtual Private Network
technologies and solutions designed to address
emerging applications for both public and private
networks. Ericsson presently provides access solutions
to major operators and service providers in countries
around the globe, including the United States, Sweden,
Australia, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, India, Saudi
Arabia and South Africa. Ericsson is the leading
provider in the new telecom world, with
communications solutions that combine telecom and
datacom technologies with freedom of mobility for the
user. With more than 100,000 employees in 140
countries, Ericsson simplifies communications for its
customers - network operators, service providers,
enterprises and consumers - the world over.

About Dynarc Dynarc expands the business
opportunity spectrum and strengthens the competitive
position for communication service providers by
offering uniquely designed high-speed switches for
multi-service IP networks. Dynarc's competitive edge
derives from unique skills in DTM switching and IP
routing architectures, coupled with fast time to market.
Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode (DTM), and in
particular IP/DTM, is Dynarc's solution for next
generation optical networks. IP/DTM is a simple and
unique solution for building scalable, reliable, and
high-performance networks for data, voice, and video
traffic.

Ericsson supports new Swedish technology

Ericsson has decided to support the DTM technology and has signed a
strategic co-operative agreement with Swedish company Dynarc which
develops this technology. By using DTM, IP can be used for data, video and
traditional telephony. Telecom operators that sell fixed telephony are
potential customers. "There's a lot that speak in favour of DTM. The first
Ericsson products based on DTM are underway," says George Wayne, vice
president of Ericsson Datacom. It's actually quite ironic that Ericsson
supports DTM. This technology was originally developed by researchers at
the Royal Institute of Technology with financial support from Ericsson and
Telia. However, Ericsson decided to invest in ATM instead, while the
researchers continued on their own. Dynarc's president Olov Schagerlund
expects that the deal with Ericsson will yield royalties by the end of the
year. The company aims at a Nasdaq listing within two years.

Dynarc Secures $8.5 Million in Private Placement
09:58 a.m. Jul 12, 1999 Eastern

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 1999--Dynarc, a
leading provider of next generation optical IP and multiservice network
solutions, today announced it has completed a private placement
transaction with a select group of institutional investors.

The successful placement brings in $8.5 million to the company, excluding
costs.

Proceeds from the additional capital will be used to strengthen and grow
the sales and marketing efforts in North America and in Sweden and to
continue investing in research and development to maintain Dynarc's
technological leadership. The company plans for an IPO during the year
2000.

"We are very pleased with the results of our private placement as this will
drive our company closer to our future IPO goals, aggressively increase
market share for us in new markets and globally deliver our technology
edge to network operators," said Olov Schagerlund, CEO and Co-Founder
of Dynarc.

Dynarc's customers are carriers and service providers. Due to new
requirements from customers, global deregulation and advanced technical
developments, operators have been forced to rethink their strategy. In
order to increase and maintain market share and generate profitability,
operators, today, must invest in new network infrastructure. Thus, the
market for affordable and flexible network products is growing rapidly
worldwide.

To strengthen the operators' competitiveness, Dynarc offers
high-performing switches for all-optical IP networks. The switches are
based on the unique DTM (Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode)
technology developed by Dynarc. With DTM, the operators can
effectively utilize the full capacity of fiber optical networks. And, at the
same time the operators can offer its customers more advanced and value
added services and management features.

Recent Announcements

The company was founded in 1997 and has already begun marketing a line
of commercial multiservice switches to network operators. Among such
operators, Stokab is a Swedish provider of one of the largest metropolitan
fiber-optic cable networks in the world, and is currently evaluating
Dynarc's switches for the Stockholm City network. Dynarc currently has
about 10 reference installations using DTM.

In May, Dynarc entered into an OEM agreement with Ericsson Datacom.
Dynarc's distributed IP QoS networking technology will be integrated into
Ericsson's next generation Multiservice Access platforms. Ericsson will
also participate in the standardization of DTM. This strategic agreement
will provide Dynarc with royalty revenues starting next year.

Investment firm Hagstromer & Qviberg Corporate Finance advised
Dynarc on its successfully completed $8.5 million private placement.
