That's very interesting Joe. Jeremy from agn3d said that this product would allow "toy story" quality rendering. Well, if the new product has 1.6 billion Texels/pixels per second and 400mhz RAM - and nothing else - it _won't_ be able to render toy story quality images. There is just too much math involved. Creating very detailed shapes will _require_ a geometry accelerator. So my guess is that 3dfx will show a few demos (maybe running on an intergraph) of what their next gen (not _next_ ) product will be able to do. Also, it's not clear if the press people will be under NDA _after_ they are shown the future tech. Will we be told anything specific? And will members of the traditional press (MaximumPC, PCGamer etc) be in attendance, or is this just for the website crowd. If it's the latter, it's worth our while to think about why they would do that. I can't think of any encouraging reasons.
