Well, Hally. . .RNWK has Real Audio and Real Video and LQID has Liquid Audio and Liquid Video. Both have "players" that can be downloaded from their website. . . .it causes many millions to visit there. . .where they try to sell you the "better" versions. . . .They also sell the mastering software ["where the audio/video is recorded"] to the pros, websites, record companies, video companies, etc, etc, etc, then they promote THEIR respective method of delivery to all that will listen, with hopes of signing licensing deals and making their version the preferred version. It is sort of a race to see which becomes the industry standard. Likewise, Brilliant Digital's "Digital Projector" is a movie player which can be downloaded from their site. And like the others, they will sell their mastering software to anybody that has a need. They will then promote their unique method of delivery and try to sign licensing deals. . . in hopes of becoming an industry standard for their niche market. . . And remember, multi-path, in general. . .is desirable by consumers [whether or not they know it yet], due to the choices and options it brings them. So the chance exists that BDE's methods, products and services could become the "preferred choice" of consumers. And that demand could make Brilliant synonymous with interactive digital video. . . like Dolby is/was to film sound. . . and that is the main reason we are dug in so deeply. Rande Is
