Tom, we're all in agreement here. The sellers go where the buyers are, and the buyers go where the sellers (i.e., best selection) are. That's what critical mass is all about - it feeds on itself. It's a 'viral' thing.

The fact that Ebay keeps shooting itself in the foot with its system problems, but still keeps walking, shows the raw power of critical mass.

i agree. ebay continues to be the blue chip auction site. yhoo and amzn have yet to match the quality and popularity of ebay. as an active buyer on ebay i'm still very satisfied with their service.
