Buyout before feasibility? Don't know. Your guess is at least as good as mine. What I do know is that DeBeers doesn't like having junior partners. That's a given.

Looks to me like we're at the point where we have to start being very careful about our terminology. Announcement of the intention to do a full scale feasibility investigation and report is quite different than "Feasibility being announced" which will only come after the report. The announcement of the intention to do the investigation and report is now scheduled for Oct 1999. The results of that study will be some time later. Let's not confuse ourselves by talking as if the Beginning is the end. Cheers
