IPVoice.com (OTC:BB-IPVC) announced today that it has signed a contract with MetroPlus Communications Technology, Inc., a division of NP Energy Corporation (OTC-BB: NPEC), granting MetroPlus exclusive marketing territories in 16 primary cities in Canada, Washington and Oregon.

The agreement adds MetroPlus as another TruePartner Master Distributor (TPMD) and is forecasted to add $48.0 million in additional revenues. The contract requires MetroPlus to produce at least $250,000 per each gateway installed, or $3 million per year per gateway.

"We are thrilled to welcome MetroPlus to out growing network," says Barbara Will, President and COO of IPVoice.com, Inc. "MetroPlus is an experienced telecommunications provider and after reviewing their sales and marketing strategy, we are very excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring to both companies."

The addition of Canada to IPVoice.com's growing international network plans coincides with the rollout of the Flat25(tm) gateways. Flat25 allows customers to call unlimited long distance minutes over the internet to Flat25 cities in the United States. In the coming weeks, IPVoice.com will announce deployment of these TrueConnect(tm) gateways, allowing customers to see the product for themselves.

IPVoice.com's premier product is an Internet Gateway named "TrueConnect(tm)", a fully Y2K compliant gateway that allows users to conduct real-time full-duplex, high quality two-way voice communication over the Internet.

To support TrueConnect, IPVoice.com has developed proprietary support products in the areas of order entry, billing, customer service, agent management and a switching network management system. Their system is poised to compete and surpass other Gateway manufacturers such as VocalTec (NASDAQ:VOCLF) and other Voice over the internet services such as the one offered by NetSpeak (NASDAQ:NSPK).

Mockingbird Networks and Telic.net Announce VoIP Partnership
Targeting International ISPs with Turnkey VoIP Solutions
CUPERTINO, CA -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 09/14/99 -- Mockingbird Networks, the pioneering developer of highly scalable, carrier-class switches for converging IP/voice communications, and Telic.net, a next-generation network service provider, today announced they have joined forces to bring turnkey Voice-over-IP (VoIP) solutions to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) around the world. Through this partnership, Telic.net will provide a complete carrier and switch solution that will make it easy for ISPs to add packet voice to augment their current packet data services.

Telic.net operates IP-based switching facilities from hubs in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Hong Kong, and assists organizations in recently-deregulated telecommunications markets to maximize the utility of existing international data circuits by incorporating IP voice and fax applications, and lucrative long-distance traffic.

"We are on the precipice of a revolution in the converged communications space," said Eric M. Hernaez, Telic.net president. "As foreign countries undergo the same liberalization of the telecommunication market as was experienced in the US, there will be tremendous growth in the demand for international long distance services. That will lead to a need for next-generation services that combine the best elements of the PSTN and the Internet. This demand is ideally met by ISPs since they already have the experience and infrastructure in place to leverage the new technology and services we provide. By combining the functionality and scalability of Mockingbird's Nuvo IP Telephony Switch with the network, management, and integration expertise of Telic.net, we have created a formidable team that can deliver turnkey IP solutions anywhere in the world."

In announcing the partnership agreement, Gene Daly, Mockingbird's vice president of worldwide sales and support said, "Our Nuvo IP telephony switches are the ideal platform for Telic to execute on its business plan. The Nuvo switch converges voice and data communications through a skillful integration of the best of the PSTN and IP networks. In particular, it provides carrier-class functionality, especially a certified SS7 capability, and an open, forward-thinking design with true scalability and an open systems architecture."
