Jean,

Good morning:)

Trying to keep a stiff upper lip. Come on IDX, It's time to wake up. OK, enough of that...

Found an outside chance to a possible big one... more than likely it will be going to Polaroid or AFIS or DBII...

We can always hope with IDX... Hope they have there hands full of other big ones and to not have worry about the competition.

Kingston, Jamaica - Plans are developing for a proposed 2.5M record biometric based National Registration System (NRS) for Jamaica to be implemented late in the year 2,000. The system will utilize a multipurpose ID card which will serve as a general purpose ID card, voters ID, drivers license, tax registration card, national health card, etc. eliminating the necessity for citizens to carry multiple cards. Finger imaging will be the biometric of choice for this project. Continuous registrations at 91 regional registration centers will take place at an expected rate of 6,000 per day. Read all about it in a detailed report on this project in the next issue of BHSUG due out on August 1, 1999

All,

Bank of America news - no mention of biometrics but it almost certainly must be a part of the bigger picture.
