It occurs to me that if Alliance were considered a closed end technology fund selling at a 45% discount it would get written up everywhere as an incredible bargain.

I don't think China will democratise

but they will create some socialist
capatilist hybrid political system.
when you have 1.2bil people, it's
kind of hard to keep them all fed
without socialism making them share.

pissing at Taiwan has more to do with
national pride and soverignty, then
communism/democracy. It's sort of
like the British Faulklen Islands
and Argentina a decade ago.
