The best comparable we have is PGTV - Nasdaq. This company is much larger but has a very similar business model. The other difference is that PGTV carries a much larger debt load per its asset base. Several large Investment Firms (Bear Stearns etc) have stated that a PGTV subscriber should be worth at least $2,000.
Another US based company, Golden Sky Partners, is scheduled to do an IPO in the next few months. This company is much more similar to MDTV as they have a higher percentage of subscribers from MDUs. It will be interesting to see what valuations are placed on this company.
One other note, PGTV has been quite aggressively purchasing territories with DBS subscribers and paying as much as $3,000 - $4,000 per installed subscriber.
