Modano, Broward County, FL is the California of the East. They pretty much do whatever pleases them. It is a conservative wealthy county, where 300k will barely buy you a place to live. Now another thing. . . California and Florida are "right to work" states, meaning that over 20 years ago, unions and whatever "organizations" that run them. . . were voted powerless. So the way that California and Florida votes. . .does NOT necessarily filter through the rest of the country, as one might think. Other states still have powerful union ties, strong "good ol' boy" networks and "mutually important" long-term agreements. Now these rulings are still important to the big picture, but I don't see things getting serious until we begin to see such rulings in other states [NY and IL will be tough]. . . .or serious Federal moves. . . but don't underestimate the power of A.T. and T. They spent many billions establishing their lead and they are not about to roll over and let everyone else benefit. Hope that helps. Rande Is
