If you look at Thomson quotes.... you see high institutional involvement. This suggests that another motivation for controlling price is quiet accumulation for their own houses. Just a thought, since the yellow is high in the pie-chart. Contrast this with AOL, for example. Yesterday had the same pattern. If true, we have two incentives, not one. Now is it purely a coincidence that we hover around 55? This is open for discussion. :) I think it would be fun to work in the SEC for a couple of years -- with some clout, of course. With some skill one can make a difference. J
