By that definition CMGI should see it's stock price go down every time a company from it's stable does an IPO. But that is not what has been happening. I think Reuters did handsomely in seeking a value for Tibco on the market. And the fact that they didn't sell any of their stake is good news. After all, their stake now is worth twice as much as that at the IPO price.

I still don't know why the price of RTRSY didn't move up more. One reason could be that they are a 20B company, and by today's valuation Reuters' stake in Tibco is worth about 1.2B. That's still only about 6% of Reuters' market cap. Do you folks think this is a possible reason ?
