Yes Hawaii it could be big and I believe that is an understatement. As Tony the Tiger would say "It's Great"

thanks for the article and here is the relevant part. also nice to see ipo could be next week and we still have not heard about snap:

Net2Phone

Net2Phone's (NTOP: news, msgs) $66 million IPO with underwriter Hambrecht & Quist is expected to roll next week, said CommScan Analytics.

The company set a price range of $10 to $12 per share in a recent filing, which also detailed new strategic partnerships with Compaq (CPQ: news, msgs), Ziff Davis's (ZD: news, msgs) ZDNet and General Electric (GE: news, msgs) units NBC and Snap.com.

A Compaq spokesman said he would comment later Wednesday afternoon about a Web site that offers Net2Phone software to buyers of its computers overseas.

A spokesman for IDT (IDTC: news, msgs), the parent of Hackensack, N.J.-based Net2Phone, confirmed that the Web site is active. The company declined further comment.

In its filing, Net2Phone said its software is featured as a download from a special Compaq Web site accessible directly from the Compaq-branded keyboard.

The software may be pre-installed on Compaq-branded computers distributed internationally and may be included with their other products, the company said in the filing.

"That could be big," said Jefferies & Co.'s Gregory Miller said of the relationship with Compaq.

Snap.com, a unit of Net2Phone investor General Electric, will display Net2Phone as its preferred Web telephony service. NBC will also pitch in about $1.5 million in media support for Net2Phone.

The moves follows comments in May that GE was eyeing Net2Phone deals for its properties. See related story.

Net2Phone's Web-based Internet telephony service will be integrated
throughout the ZDNet Web site.

It was a nice little write up and out friends at CBSMW have come through for us again. It could be big, and this seems to be a bit of a reversal for the Jeffries analyst, but without some details, I do not think the market will be very impressed. Not much of a rumble yet--are you expecting more details?

i just logged on again and saw your post. thanks for the CBS article. can hardly wait to see what the Compaq's web site looks like with the N2P thing on it. "this could be big" may turn out to be "this could be huge" soon.

BTW, is Gelsi allowed to print fans' emails on his column? :-)

Wasn't he putting IDTC down not to long ago because he wasn't getting in on the action? Very good sign!

Really ready to rumble tomorrow,
