TerryTrader - <He is probably right about Intels future too - only this is something most of the Intel 'investors' out here and on the Street do not want to hear.>

How does one equate with the other? One is a 13 week outlook, and the extreme of the other is years. Two different animals.

BTW, less than a year ago Niles was very bullish on Intel's future prospects. Was he right then, or right now?

Also, how 'bout his prediction on CPQ's "bright future"?

TT,

Regardless of the AMD issue, Dan Niles was the only analyst
that was dead right about the revenues and earnings. He is
probably right about Intels future too - only this is something
most of the Intel 'investors' out here and on the Street do not
want to hear.

I believe Nile's long term rating on Intel is attractive.

Dan Niles is dead right about revenues and earnings because he gets the numbers from somebody. He was dead on with DELL last quarter. Nobody is that good.

As for future earnings, we cannot see the future. If we could, we would be very rich. Wouldn't we?

<Regardless of the AMD issue, Dan Niles was the only analyst that was dead right about the revenues and earnings.>

Back in Q4 1998, on the AMD thread, there was a poster named Maxwell who did an EPS competition. Out of twenty or thirty people, including professional analysts, my guess (which was exactly the same as Tom Kurlak's) was the closest to the actual results. Does that mean I know more about AMD than anyone else? No, it was just a lucky guess.

<He is probably right about Intels future too>

The guy shouted "SELL!" when INTC was in the high 50's. The stock went down to the low 50's, which seemed to vindicate Danny Boy. But then the stock is now in the mid 60's, and Danny Boy never said, "BUY!" In other words, people who followed his advice are now left behind.

<Disclaimer: I am about to go short on Intel.>

Good luck. Hope you catch a point or two in drops. We longs will continue to hold.
