Mike, I've been up for a while. I've decided to ignore Grubman's views on this subject altogether. I was about to remark on this on LM, and may expand a little bit more later on, over there.

FWIW, both Grub and the original author of the article have the right to say as they choose, but neither of them IMO possesses the global intelligence necessary to evaluate what's going on today in the bandwidth realm.

They simply can't focus on all of the necessary numbers of places and issues that are taking place simultaneously to do so in a coherent manner. By the time one issue is studied and evaluated, several of the drivers which led to those conclusions have shifted into some other vector mode.

I don't have the time to get into a complete discussion here on my take of this variation of chaos theory, except to state that it takes a bit of arrogance for any one individual to be professing to know the ultimate fates and the outcomes of this industry over any stretch of time, at this stage of the game, without making profuse use of the qualifier, "IMVHO."

Things may look clear on the surface (which, by the way, is not a reference to either of the referenced articles in this discussion), from a general directions perspective, but they can change in a flash to the surprise of everyone with the unfolding of a relatively few series of events. All, of course, IMVHO.

Regards, Frank Coluccio
