<< the inspired Word of God >>
Back up! Wasn't it just a "historical document" a little while back when you needed to excuse the contradictions and errors in it? I said it was supposedly divinely inspired and you completely ignored that issue. So which way is it? Is it a historical document written by mere error-prone mortals or is it the Inspired Word of God?

Emile,

<<, THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST >>

Wasn't that directed and produced by Scorcese? (I am not sure about produced) and didn't it star a bunch of Christian actors? (although I had heard that Buddy Hackett wanted the part badly:-) ) It was written byu the famous jew Nikos kazatzakis? I wasn't aware that Hollywood employed slave labor and forced christians to make this film..........

Sometimes Emile it seems like you simply don't listen... you just keep grinding that old axe of yours.

By the way, that rabbi was only speculating that there may be copies in Hebrew of the new testament books. I would ask you, "what difference does it really make?" His speculation is based upon the thought that the Greek copies of these books sometimes appear to be hastily written.

As I said, there appear to be plenty of believers who discount the theory that some or all of the New Testament have Hebrew originals. I will simply say "I don't know and after exchanging with you I don't really care either." It is interesting in any case that the very idea of such a thing throws you into a tizzy.

Did you know that the scribes of the Torah haven't changed a single "jot or tittle" since antiquity?

>>You know very well that the modern antichrist rabbis have absolutely nothing to do with biblical rabbis--except for the name. <<

...but you're the one who jumped all over my usage of the word. It does simply mean "teacher" does it not?

At this point there is nothing I can say to you to convince you of anything but I will say that somewhere in Romans it describes how the Lord has blinded the Jews in order that the word might first go out to the Nations. There is supposed to be a boomerang effect where the word comes back to the Jews, from the Nations.

Since you were of the nations before your accepting Christ, what are you now doing that you are representing Christ - to witness to the children of Israel?

Remember that G-d has blinded them. He will lift the blinders in his own time, don't you think?

FWIW
Andy

>>There is only one way to understand the Holy Bible! That is through the Holy Spirit who is given to us through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other way! <<

I won't argue with that. However, if I choose to call him the Messiah Yeshua you also get bent out of shape, do you not?

Please accept my apologies in advance if this is not the case.
Shalom
