welli just got of the phone with the ir person at gfx, and so far all there wireless isp equipment is bieng shiped out this week . they , and a team from waverider are leaveing for china at the and of the next week to start training the local service force. there focus will be two fold. firstly they wish , in joint venture with the government , link all 18000 train stations to the wireless system in order that booking and timetables can be managed from a cordinated center. in addition they feel that once the financing is put in place ( from major global isp folks) that they can provide up to 1,000,000 sytems to the consumers within the comming year. the key is not getting the market because they allready have the deals in place to provide the quipment. the key is the forming of strategic alliances with the providers of the interim financing to undertake sucha venture. this will be done (so i understand) in cooperation with those comanies that domiante the north american market. the company has been active in china for 5 years , and has employies onthe ground doing real things . they allready provide motarola systems btu feel that there is a greater market in wraping up a major piece of the local personal market which will be done by leaverageing there dael with the government for the train stations. so whats a million users worth in china.. and thats for the current year.. there willbe more news in a short while that will detail the testing and progress of the instalation of the first systems, and anouncements as to who there strategic aliances willbe with. i am told that allthe names are "house hold" companies.. giants only need apply .. well at .35 cnd and a low float... who knows.. tim
