Revs must be at least $20M. What do you think?

Gary, All,
nope, results will come be released on 07/20, after market close. I got a respective email from JNPR.

I'm following the stock since a couple of days. My interest would be going long as a longterm investor.

I did some tire kicking: Industry sales of $5.5 bn in 2003 means about a 100% annual compund growth rate from the $169m in 98... Is this realistic? I just don't know... could be... could not be...

If JNPR will grow sales like the industry projection, this would require a quarterly compound sequential growth rate of 18.95% from the $10m in 03/99 for the next 60 quarters forward. By 2003 JNPR would then have some $850m in sales and a 15%+ market share.

By this yardstick, JNPR should have sales of about $55m in calendar 1999.

CSCO is selling at 20x sales today. 20x sales for JNPR in 2003 is about a market cap of $17bn. It has a mkt cap of $6bn+ right now. This would translate into a 22% annually-compound stock price growth rate from here ($130) to 2003... which would still be about twice longterm growth rates for stocks in general... if indeed they will execute like the next CSCO...

Of course lots of If's and upside and downside potential in all of the above. No conclusions for me so far. I'm sympathetic, though, but no position yet. Interested in you comments and elaborations.

kind regards,
