Some random thoughts on an issue raised earlier in the thread: In TV and other communications industries, the focus is usually on EBITDA - and valuations are based on performance of EBITDA on a year to year basis. Is that not true in the tech business? I'd think it would be true to an even greater degree. And if it was true, why would the tax situation facing AAPL be cause for concern (since it obviously isn't true, I understand why....)? Just curious.
