George, I'm not sure, but the business need not be computer related. I can describe some of the characteristics of the business I have in mind:

It would involve the assembly and distribution of a medium-priced product ($1,500 - $5,000 each) required in quantity for virtually all businesses. It would work best if there were a limited number of configuration options available, and if there were a limited technological lifetime to the product. The business would work best if it relied on standardized technology available from others, thus minimizing R&D expenditures.

Perhaps there are components required for the physical infrastructure of networks or telephony that fit this description.

Or perhaps it could be a modularized component home entertainment system where the circuit boards and power supplies are manufactured by others and assembled with Dell's business model.
