How nice of AMD's CEO to take off after they post shitty earnings..

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD - news) president and chief operating officer S. Atiq Raza resigned Wednesday as the chipmaker released second-quarter losses, stemming from tough competition from Intel Corp. (Nasdaq:INTC - news) and low sales of a benchmark chip.

Raza cited personal reasons for his resignation, saying that his departure was not related to the company's financial problems. ''My decision to leave AMD was a difficult one,'' he said. ''I have enjoyed the challenges of helping to restore competition in the microprocessor market.

Wasn't related to the company's financial problems? YEAA RIGHT! Go DELL!!

Stephen, I will become more bullish on Dell when I see it enter a new, high volume, high growth market. For the intermediate term I see Dell beginning to be constrained by the overall growth of the PC market. Prior to this year Dell was able to enjoy hypergrowth because it represented only a minor fraction of the total market. But Dell is now emerging as the market leader which necessarily constrains top-line growth.

TTFN,
