[ Dividing the Telstra spoils ]

Winners are grinners in the contest to build a new network infrastructure for Telstra. Dan Tebbutt analyses the outcome.

...For every winner, there has to be a loser.

The shock underachiever in DMO is Cisco, the erstwhile king of Internet technologies, which entered a combined bid with Alcatel....

....Johnson says Telstra's deliberations tend to confirm the Gartner view that Cisco faces an uphill battle for credibility among telcos.

"At the carrier-grade end of the market, this is probably not an unexpected outcome," the analyst says.

buy on oct 7th or 8th.

Would you care to tell me why?

I don't know you, though I do appreciate your responding. However, I'm not sure if yours was a sarcastic post aimed at joshing somebody looking for thoughts on price changes (which as we all know are only marginally rational in the short term, though IMO often quite rational in the long term), or whether there is something planned to happen in early October (earnings report? annual meeting? etc.) which might lead the price to be low at that point.
