Guree : Indeed, the abyss beckons --- as it has done for months/years already. The theoretical downside is now bigger than ever and the risk greater than at any time in "recorded history". One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to know this.

Unfortunately, those who have gone short on the Dow, like those who have gone long on gold, are suffering from third degree burns! Some have even been cremated.

It's a brave, or perhaps very impetuous, man who can buy gold or sell the Dow under the circumstances.

the daily russell 2000 came within .40 of a point of matching last year's daily high on july 16th, 98 or 463.64...gulp!!

will be interesting to see what kind of a WEEKLY CLOSE on the russell we get tomorrow...da boyz do know how to apply the pressure...:(
