Dang it, you beat me again. That's okay, though, as you said it well, of course, and I can grin and say, "yeah, that's what I think".

Choosing responses, and in some cases working to change a particular emotional response (as in hatred when we see a certain type of person) hardly removes emotion from the equation.

And I think you're right about not trying to figure out who started it-- that's a losing
battle.

One of my favorite childish excuses, I have no idea where I got it, is "he hit me back first."
