Jerome,

. What companies in the semi equipment group sell equipment for FPD's?

I am not so sure you wish to pursue this. AMAT and LRCX have both shed their TFT divisions over the past two years, and would not have done so had they seen good money to be made IMHO. After all, AMAT is looking at acquisitions to enter new markets so why would they sell a profitable one they already were in?

Jerome,

1. DRAM prices have firmed up a bit lately. If history teaches us anything, that will only be temporary.

2. FPD: PHTN is the key name that I'm aware of. I believe BRKS sells robots into that sector. I don't know whether or not PRIA has done any business in this sector .

In any case, I still believe this sector's got lots of upward room left. We're only starting to see orders pick up. We have yet to see the earnings growth.

Ian.

Helix, based in Mansfield, Mass., is the dominant supplier of cryogenic vacuum pumps to the semiconductor industry. It also makes other pumps, gauges and measuring devices, and does a smaller amount of business with disk-drive and flat-panel-display manufacturers.
