Correct me, is it not true that the Palm division and the technologies ascribed to Cable Modems and DSL came from the USX acquisition. If so it was not a death sentence for COMS. It has and will give COMS universal brand recognition in areas that have begun to matter most. They did overpay, but time will tell if they were grossly negligent or not.

My sympathy goes out to those that overpaid for COMS and are still holders of COMS shares. Just be patient, the oasis is not too far into the future. BTW, please don't inundate me with messages when COMS reaches $60+.

a very well-written post, tim.

as for Mehrdad Arya...

i never have understood why some people find it necessary to criticize individuals for choices they have made. where's the sense in saying that most of the people on this thread are "brats"? it isn't hard to make a wrong decision in trading and/or investing. isn't the whole key to be wrong less often? and don't we all realize that a lot of what some people attempt to pass off as skill is more likely attributable to timing and/or luck? did Mehrdad Arya say in four years he's never been wrong? i never heard of such a thing. in fact, i can say with a great degree of certainty, Mehrdad, that you were wrong the moment you said you never were. you sound a bit antagonistic, Mehrdad, telling people not to inundate you with email when COMS hits $60.

i like to see success all around in my fellow traders and investors. we all know that's not possible, but it certainly is a healthy frame of mind to possess. imo, some degree of humbleness and regard for others wouldn't be wasted on you, Mehrdad.

and btw, i hope everything you say about COMS is correct.

:)
