She gets to keep any remnants of the campaign contributions and she can expense the house payments as a campaign expense.

I thought the way it worked was that leftover campaign funds were hers to keep only for political uses, not personal. I recall a big deal several years ago when the last of the grandfathered members of Congress retired (Jim Wright?) and was able to keep a multi-million dollar war chest for personal use.

House payments are a campaign expense? If that's true, let's ALL run for office. I'll vote for you if you'll vote for me!
